I performed at two Pirate Jenny Cabaret evenings this month – Ffwrnes Theatre in Llanelli, and The Gate in Cardiff. I performed alongside a wide variety of acts – comedians, dancers, choirs and a magician – which was quite unlike anything I’d ever done before, but I had loads of fun and the other acts were great!
Band selfie taken on stage!
My favourite recent gig was It’s Girl Time at Mozarts Swansea, which was raising funds for local homeless women. I performed alongside singer-songwriter Eleri Angharad, and comedians Ali Hancock and Sarah Bridgeman. There was such a supportive welcoming atmosphere, which is one of many reasons why Mozarts is among my favourite music venues.
Over the last 2 weeks I’ve been working on my new EP, which is due to be released in October – lots of details to be confirmed very soon! Sign up to my mailing list and follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates, behind-the-scenes footage, and more.
Other fun stuff I’ve been up to lately:
– Volunteering at Eid in the Park, Swansea! I got a cute henna tattoo, and went down a giant inflatable slide with my colleague – I cut my hand, arm, and butt on the way down but it was worth it.
– Today I ran the Swansea Race for Life (5k)! We had torrential rain and wind for the whole morning so it was hard work, but I ran the entire thing in 37 minutes which I’m happy with. 🙂
